For a little travel inspiration we’ve put together a round-up of some of the world’s best views. The type that you have to pinch yourself when experiencing to be sure that they are completely real. Whether you’re holding out a camera or taking a selfie in front of a backdrop of impressive landscape, we hope you’ll send us a snap to add to our board of inspiration here at Penguins Incentive Travel.
Mount Kinabalu
When you think of Borneo you may immediately conjure images of postcard-perfect sands and blue seas, grinning orangutans and slurping fresh milk from a coconut. Stunning views can also be found from Mount Kinabalu, the island’s highest mountain – described by the Malaysian Tourism Officials as one of the ‘safest and most conquerable’ peaks on the planet.
Eden Beach
We don’t really need to explain this one. Eden Beach is often described as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, located on the small South Pacific island, Bora Bora. If you’re lucky enough to see this view in reality, rather than just as a dreamy desktop background, you’re likely to be staying at some of the world’s most luxurious and most enviable resorts.
Mavora Lakes
Take camping to a new level and wake up to the view of New Zealand’s Mavora Lakes where the peaks of mountains disappear into clouds and the still, tranquil lakes calm and relax the mind. You may recognise the rugged shapes against the smooth waters as those to feature in the Lord of the Rings film series which you can explore by foot or on horseback for a memorable, fantasy-like trip.
Hallsatt
The view of Hallsatt, a village in Austria located on the kerb of the mountainous region of Salzkammergut is spectacular during all seasons. A mossy green carpets the mountains during the summer, the waters a dark teal green whilst in winter the mood shifts to cool whites and frosty greys. Whether you’re here to kayak, canoe, bike, hike, or dive there’s something for all at this breath-taking location.
Helicopter, NYC
Compete with Manhattan’s sky scrapers by buckling up inside a helicopter for a new angle at the incredible builds of New York City. A bucket-list activity for many that takes you over all iconic must-sees: the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Rockerfeller, the flashing lights of Broadway, Tribeca and the Brooklyn Bridge. Once on ground we recommend heading to Bare Burger for some Beer Bacon Sliders and a portion of Macho Fries - they’re unforgettable.
Berlenga Island
Set sail from rocky Peniche and towards the craggy cliffs of Berlenga Island, Portugal. There you’ll find unspoilt beaches, much less crowded than the likes of those in the Algarve or Lisbon’s Cascais, formed from a group of stunning archipelago islands. This well-kept secret is a beautiful option for a day trip, to enjoy soaking up the sun from a beach towel or exploring the landscape among the impressive, colourful flora.
