Event spaces come in all shapes and sizes, with their own unique features that make them suitable for different types of events. An event space can make or break your event, choosing the correct space is the difference between a successful event and a lackluster one. When selecting a venue, it is important to ensure you are able to create the desired atmosphere to fulfill the needs of the event, making effective use of the event space available. Here are seven event venues around the globe that we feel could add creativity and enhance the ambiance of your event.

Eden Project, Cornwall

The world famous Eden Project located in Cornwall is a unique event venue to say the least. The old clay pit has been converted into the most sustainable venue in the UK. This exciting venue features three distinctive event spaces, the external gardens and the two biomes. Each biome has its own unique environment, the first features four of the world’s rainforest environments; Tropical Islands, Southeast Asia, West Africa and Tropical South America.

With over 1,000 different varieties of plants and enormous trees towering above, you really get feel of what a rainforest is like and is a sight to behold. The second adopts a Mediterranean climate, with over 1,000 plants from the landscapes of the Mediterranean, South Africa, California and Western Australia. Here the sweet smell of herbs flows through the air as you journey through bright colours, knotted olive trunks and lavish vines. As you leave the biomes you are instantly transported into another world. Stepping into the gardens that run across 20 acres of land, with miles of paths and tonnes of exploring it can really be made to feel like an adventure.

With this venue there really is space for every type of event. The two biomes are great for drink receptions and sit down meals of up to 400 pax. The gardens are more versatile with capacity being of up to 6,000 pax, there is no shortage of space to fit your event.

To make the venue even more unique, the Eden Project boasts England’s largest zip wire, and the one of kind Baobab smoothies. These smoothies are made from coconut milk, Banana (which are grown onsite in the rainforest biome) and baobab powder, a definite must have when visiting. Burj Al Arab, Dubai

Located in Dubai “The City of gold” is the Burj Al Arab.  Distinctive for its sail-shaped design, this venue towers over the ever growing Dubai coastline. Being named as the only 7-star hotel in the world (although 7 stars doesn’t technically exist), it oozes luxury and extravagance. The entrance is breath-taking greeted by striking gold pillars and dazzling fountains. Its design is matched by world class service, and attention to detail in everything. The venue boasts five swimming pools (three outdoor, two indoor), a private beach, spa and nine world class restaurants, all overlooking the stunning Dubai coastline.

This magnificent building offers nine deluxe indoor and outdoor event spaces. The showpiece being the Burj Al Arab Terrace, the newly opened terrace provides guests with incredible restaurants, pool, beach and cabana space, accommodating up to 800. Another of the spectacular spaces is the Al Falak Ballroom, designed over two tiers in the style of an 18th century Viennese Opera House. Hamilton Island Yacht Club, Australia

Right in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia is Hamilton Island. Voted the most desirable island escape in 2015, the island is surrounded by pristine white beaches, with a mixture of coral and marine life, making it a sight to behold. The island plays host to numerous large scale events such as the annual Hamilton Island Race Week yachting festival and golfing tournaments on the 18-hole championship standard course. Positioned on the waterfront near the 240-berth marina is the Hamilton Island Yacht Club. The yacht club is the event hub of the island offering the largest conference facility in the region, with five different event spaces the largest being the Ketch & Cutter Room’s with a capacity of up to 190 guests featuring high ceiling, suitable for conferences, product launches and trade shows. The rooms feature plenty of natural light and a stunning backdrop across the Dent Passage, it’s the perfect location to relax and enjoy your event as you watch the sunset.

Brighton Pavilion, Brighton

Located in the centre of Brighton is the exotic palace that is Brighton Pavilion. With a colourful history the house mixes grand architecture with the visual style of India and China. Standing out as Brighton’s most popular attraction it has been described as the one of the most dazzling and buildings in the British Isles. Its ornate dome design and gorgeous gardens provide the wow factor for any event. With six different event spaces with the capacity from 20 people to 170, each space has a different ambiance with stunning views towards Brighton beach and the Pavilion gardens. Guinness Storehouse, Dublin

In the heart of Dublin sits St. James Gate Brewery, the home of Guinness where it is still brewed today. In here lies the Guinness storehouse a must see when visiting Dublin, and Ireland’s most popular tourist attraction. Spanning seven different floors which surround a glass atrium shaped in the form of a pint of Guinness, this is a truly unique venue. The top floor offers stunning panoramic views of Dublin, an amazing space at any time but partially special at sunset. The other 6 floors are equally as spectacular, whether it’s a small gathering or an event for 200 people, the storehouse can hold all types of events. Each floor can be hired out independently or for larger groups you can hire out the whole storehouse which includes the seven floors and the rooftop bar. The Storehouse really is a great event venue with an interesting history it offers great scope for interesting creative production.

The National Museum of Bermuda, Bermuda

On the North-West tip of Bermuda is the former Royal Navy Dockyard now converted into the National Museum, a particularly special location to hold an event in the historic dockyards. The museum was originally used as a major British naval base to control the sea lanes and was surplus to requirements in 1974 when it was transformed into a museum. The museum is host to five unique event spaces, with a maximum capacity of 200 people in the two indoor venues and up to 2000 people for an outdoor event. The outdoor spaces offer an experience that is very unique, the chance to encounter dolphins in the water is a truly magical experience. Garden by the bay, Singapore

On the shores of the dazzling Marina Bay in Singapore sits the Garden by the Bay. The nature park spanning 101 hectares consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Gardens, Bay East Gardens and Bay Central Gardens. These are stunning, transporting y away from the bustle of the city. One of the most distinctive feature is Supertree Grove, which is in the top five landmarks in Singapore. Measuring between 25 and 50 metres, these large canopies provide ,shade in the day and come alive with a display of lights and sound at night, a must see as the large trees light up the skyline.Gardens by the bay features five unique venue spaces including a space underneath the Supertrees. The spaces can hold from 200 people up to 1,100 people for indoor events and can hold up to 30,000 people on the Meadow. The Meadow being the largest outdoor garden space that Singapore offers, having hosted a number of different concerts/festivals and mass events one of these events being Gangnam Style singer PSY. Garden by the bay really is a unique event experience with vibrant backdrops and picturesque marina views.
