I certainly feel very privileged to have gone!" > >   > > - Senior Conference Planner   #### The Brief Our client, a large pharmaceutical company, wanted to reward their top performing sales team with a 4 night/5 day excursion to a luxury short-haul location within Europe. As the team members were invited to bring a guest, Penguins were required to provide engaging activities for couples. It was also specified that the agenda for this excursion needed a good mix of planned activities and free time; allowing the group to enjoy the destination at their leisure. The client wanted to step away from a traditional reward programme, in order to capitalise on fun! The client required a four day agenda, integrating a plenary meeting and [gala dinner](https://www.penguins.co.uk/gala-dinners) whilst capturing the new company culture. #### Challenges - The client didn't want a conference. They specified to Penguins that they would like an impressively unique, large scale events with a twist, that would ensure all their staff leave on a high. - When selecting a venue, Penguins had to ensure it was a short distance from the airport. - Many of the guests were expecting a long-haul destination, therefore Penguins had the challenge of changing perceptions to demonstrate short-haul destinations can be just as luxurious and fun. #### Solution Most of the guests had never heard of Dubrovnik which was a great platform to wow guests from as they had little to no expectations. The beautiful Croatian city did not disappoint, guests enjoyed 5 full days of bright blue skies and crystal clear water during their stay. Guests were treated to a trip to a local olive oil farm for an exclusive farm dinner and a club night on the beach. Penguins organised exciting activities such as, kayaking and jet skiing but also incorporated lots of leisure time at the exclusive Villa Dubrovnik. - ![exciting team kayak around Dubrovnik coastline](https://www.penguins.co.uk/hubfs/Case%20study/Incentive_dubrovnik/Kayaking_In_dubrovnik_travel_Incentive.jpg "exciting team kayak around Dubrovnik coastline") - ![employee recongnition trip in Dubrovnik](https://www.penguins.co.uk/hubfs/Case%20study/Incentive_dubrovnik/employee_recongnition_trip_in_Dubrovnik.jpg "employee recongnition trip in Dubrovnik") - ![Relaxing getaway Villa Dubrovnik](https://www.penguins.co.uk/hubfs/Case%20study/Incentive_dubrovnik/Relaxing_getaway_Villa_Dubrovnik.jpg "Relaxing getaway Villa Dubrovnik") [< back to case studies](https://www.penguins.co.uk/case-studies) # Put Penguins to the Test Talk to Penguins and take the first step to an amazing live experience.
