Event production and logistics agency Penguins worked closely with this year’s finalists – Luisa Zissman and Leah Totton for the season finale of the ‘The Apprentice’. Collaborating with each of the highly competitive contestants Penguins was on hand to provide creative support for their crucial final pitch in order to best illustrate their business plan to Lord Sugar and his invited audience of industry experts.
Penguins Production Director Richard Bowden and Production Consultant Max Jelfs were both seen in the programme supporting the candidates and helping to add a creative twist to each of the team’s presentations.
"Working on such a tight turnaround to implement a whole design and presentation within a hugely reduced timescale was a fantastic challenge, where we almost started to experience some of the pressure that the finalists themselves must have felt." described Richard Bowden "In fact having a short lead also is very liberating, because you just have to make quick decisions and back yourself to make the right call, an environment we at Penguins thrive on!"
Leah and Luisa, the two finalists, had very clear ideas of what they wanted, and utilised Penguins production and planning expertise to implement their vision. We worked on lighting design, decoration and stage dressing.
In the end it was just as much Max vs Richard as it was Luisa vs Leah - which all added to the tension. Both teams did well - but there could be only 1 winner…
A huge congratulations to Leah from all of us here at Penguins!
