Brand Launch / Product Launch (Budapest)

The Brief 

Our client, a premium Scotch whisky retailer wanted to organise an annual two day conference which would bring together all their senior members of staff. In addition to this the event would also celebrate the launch of their new product – whisky with a Brazilian twist!. Effectively the event was to combine a conference with a new brand launch and product launch.

Their brief specified that they wanted the location and theming to portray the two sides to their business – tradition and their heritage vs their more modern, contemporary approach with their new products. The event also needed to be held in a country that was fairly central for all the staff members based across Europe to travel to with ease. In addition to this they didn’t want to follow a standard conference format in the sense of just a theatre style setup and PowerPoint presentation, they wanted to create something that was a little out of the ordinary.

  • The location selected needed to surpass the expectations of the last conference
  • The client was hesitant to allow complete ownership of the delegate registration due to some previous bad experiences they had before

Solution

Budapest was chosen as a destination due to its accessibility and central location in Europe. Five star hotel Boscolo was chosen as the perfect venue to combine tradition and more of a contemporary feel in terms of it s interior and meeting spaces.

The agenda blended experiential activities, debate, business presentations and a social programme. We created a 360 degree presentation theatre, where delegates would be completely immersed in the content, presented in a bold and confident style which really helped convey the personality and the ambition of the brand. The event was full of surprises including teams competing to brand Trabant cars, Brazilian dancing on a Medieval Castle and seeing an entire palace wall seeming melt and collapse away with video projection.
