Brand Experience (Games Publisher)
Working with a new client based in Los Angeles, Penguins were asked to produce the UK leg of a brand experience for a large multi-national computer games company. The event was to take place in the UK and US simultaneously.

Solution
Whilst, as project managers, we would normally work on multiple projects, the short lead time, coupled with the scale and complexity of the event called for a different approach. We took three members of the team and had them work exclusively on this project, dividing up the workload to take advantage of the particular skills available.
To get a reliable internet connection at a high enough bandwidth to stream video and play our clients games online proved difficult. We investigated a number of solutions including, internet over satellite, "borrowing" a connection from a local business and having BT install a temporary. With none of the solutions providing the answer we turned to WiiMax, a series of ground masts that send high speed wireless internet connection around London. In order to receive the signal with enough strength we worked with The Empire Leicester Square to have access to their roof to locate a dish receiver.
To ensure we stuck to the strict timings restrictions imposed, we created a detailed and specific running order for both install and de-rig. By working with established suppliers and partners we were confident we could run to schedule. To work with the de-rig time, it was important that we had sufficient crew on the ground, but balance this with not having too many and having confusion
We provided the following services:
- Full event production
- Logisital management
- Liaising with the local aurthorities to ensure compliance with their H&S and licensing requirements
- Management of all on-site crew and suppliers
- Live internet relay to Los Angeles
