Our client was a major sponsor of the Olympic Games and they wanted an innovative and effective way to communicate the benefits of this involvement to their staff, and to develop a pride of association among employees.

Solution
Following an inspirational speech, Sir Steve Redgrave announced the commencement of an online competition, hosted on the client's intranet for employees across Europe, with the winners ultimately enjoying a trip to the Olympic Games.
During a three-week window each month over the following three months, employees could log in to the "Olympic Champions" mini-site (in teams of three) and take part in the quiz. In 20 minutes, teams would have to answer as many questions correctly as possible. Questions were on the Olympic Games, with bonus points for questions specific to the client's involvement. Teams could check on their progress at any time on the live scoreboard
After three rounds, the top three teams took part in a live final. The event was hosted by British Olympic silver medallist and TV personality Roger Black, and took on a Question of Sport feel. Rounds included a 'What Happened Next?' video round, a 'Pictureboard' round, as well as 'Buzzers' and '60 Seconds' rounds. The event took place in front of a 200-strong audience who witnessed euphoric scenes as the winners were revealed.

Result
