Girls Night out with: Coworth Park
August 11th, 2011 by Clare
If you’re looking for a touch of luxury for your event or conference then check out one of Cheryl Coles’ old haunts, Berkshire-based Coworth Park. If you follow the X-factor you may remember last year’s auditions took place here.
This five star luxury country hotel and spa would suit prestigious product launches, upmarket corporate events, executive meetings and small conferences. Check out what the Penguins girls thought….

Wow, wow and triple wow sums up this first class luxury hotel set in 240 acres of picturesque parkland on the outskirts of Windsor Great Park. Part of the Dorchester collection and the first of their country house collection, this superior hotel and its award winning spa are effortlessly modern and quintessentially English. We totally loved it!
As we entered the hotel grounds we were met by a breath-taking meadow of wild flowers which seemed to wrap around the hotel like a flowery blanket. As we made our way up the meandering drive on the hotel golf buggy (the only mode of transport allowed) we oohed and aahed at the submerged eco Spa, the beautiful gardens and the prestigious line up of luxury cars in the car park.

We were so impressed and it takes a lot to impress the Penguins girls. Every room was cool, contemporary but elegant and oozed individual character with a seasonal theme. Modern polo artwork adorned the walls throughout.
Flooded with light and modern architecture, the Coworth Park Spa is definitely on our list to revisit. The eco-luxury spa boasts a range of 100% organic treatments and its piece de resistance is most definitely the underwater music relaxation pool. With a Spa-tisserie for light lunches, an, outdoor terrace and a relaxation room overlooking the flower meadow – it’s escapism at its best.

The 70 guest rooms were equally impressive with four posters in the Mansion House and uber chic modern rooms in the renovated stables - perfect for smaller private groups. Of course the real gem was the Grade 2 Dower House, Coworth’s 3 bedroom signature suite. Despite our best efforts we didn’t discover who the A-lister was that day. For executives who want to host meetings or small conferences, there is a dedicated floor of decent sized meeting rooms with seating for 90. The Oval Room can take 120 for cocktails and 100 theatre-style whilst the Garden Room, with its own private terrace, is slightly smaller with 100 for cocktails and 80 theatre-style.

There was plenty of choice for dinner too, from private dining or indulging in the fabulous award winning John Campbell restaurant with its eye-watering bronze leaf chandelier. We plumped for the rustic Barn restaurant as we all fancied a bit of good home cooking. I tucked into the best burger ever whilst Louise had potted salmon to start followed by the lamb (again!) as did Holly.

I have to say there is nothing quite like Coworth Park. So if you’re planning that extra special event which requires a touch of luxury with country living, make this top of your list. We can‘t wait to come back for a Spa treatment and chill out in the underwater music pool. Pure heaven!
